Netural (Vienna, Austria)
Several technologies combine to create the Silhouette iMirror Public, a spectacular interactive sales display. It was initially conceived as a web-based, pre-sales, marketing tool and subsequently as a mobile app. It invites users to try on Silhouette eyeglass models, virtually, in convincing augmented reality. Upsizing this technology to largescreen format and taking it to shopping mall environments required a tricky combination of augmented reality, motion-controlled interactivity and 3D. The result was Silhouette iMirror Public, a life-size digital signage “mirror” which premiered at Vienna International Airport´s Heinemann Duty Free in July 2013 and made headlines.
